This weeks assignment for the concept art course I'm taking is about doing character thumbnails. I.e. doing several quick (15 minute-) sketches of the character, which - as I understand it - will be fleshed out more next week. The proper design, I mean.
I've been trying to teach myself to push and exaggerate my shapes more while drawing. It's difficult do do it so it looks natural, but it's also a lot of fun.
Taken from The Animation Workshop, this looks amazing. Can't believe it's "just" a student film.
This weeks assignment for the concept art course I'm taking is about drawing props, and I started working on this sniper rifle:
I'm very pleased so far, especially considering I've never really drawn anything like it before. However, the difficult part of colouring and getting the lighting to seem authentic is still left. I'm no good at that.
I was gonna do the time warp awhile ago, but I only sketched myself as I am now before I forgot about it. Might as well post that one though, and see if I do any younger versions later.
